Boiler Installation

New Boilers, System Changes and Relocations

A boiler installation is more than swapping one unit for another. It might be a first boiler in an extension, a converted outbuilding or a commercial unit, a change from a conventional system with tanks in the loft to a combi or system boiler, or moving the boiler from a kitchen into a loft or utility room. We plan and fit installations for homes and businesses across Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk.

Before we quote, we look at how much hot water you use, how many bathrooms you have, the water pressure coming into the property and where pipework and the flue can run. That decides which type of boiler suits the building and where it should go. You receive a clear quote and agree the price before we begin, and the installation is fully insured and guaranteed.

What Affects the Cost of a Boiler Installation

Every installation is quoted individually, and these factors shape the price.

  • The type and output of boiler that suits your property.
  • Whether the boiler is going in a new position or into a property with no existing boiler.
  • How much pipework, flue and controls work the installation needs.
  • Whether tanks or a cylinder are removed or added as part of a system change.
  • Access to the chosen position, such as a loft or an outbuilding.

The work

How We Install a New Boiler

The main stages of the job, from finding the fault to the final check.

  1. Survey and Recommendation

We assess your hot water demand, water pressure and the building layout, then recommend a boiler type and position.

  2. Quote and Planning

You receive a clear quote setting out the work. Once you agree the price, we arrange the installation at a time that suits you.

  3. Fitting and Pipework

We fit the boiler, run the pipework and flue, connect the controls and alter the system as planned.

  4. Commissioning and Handover

We fill and test the system and show you how the controls work, then review the completed work with you and confirm everything has been done as agreed.

FAQs

Boiler Installation Questions

Which type of boiler is right for my property?

It depends on how much hot water you use at once, the number of bathrooms and your incoming water pressure. Combi boilers suit many smaller homes, while system or conventional boilers with a cylinder often suit properties with several bathrooms. We recommend a type after looking at your property.

Can my boiler be moved to another room?

Usually, yes. Moving a boiler means new pipework, a new flue route and a new condensate drain, so we check the proposed position before we quote.

Can you convert my system to a combi boiler?

In many properties, yes. A conversion usually removes the tanks in the loft and the hot water cylinder. We check that your water pressure and flow can support a combi before recommending one.

Do you install boilers in commercial properties?

Yes. We install boilers for homes and businesses, and we plan the work around how your premises are used.

What do I need to do before the installation?

Clear access to the new boiler position, and to the loft or cylinder cupboard if tanks are being removed. We let you know if anything else is needed when we quote.
