Boiler Installation in Peterborough

New Boiler Fitting for Peterborough Homes and Businesses

If you are adding heating to a Peterborough property for the first time, or rearranging a kitchen and want the boiler out of the way, the installation has to be planned rather than simply swapped. We work out the flue route, the run of pipework back to the heating circuit and the condensate drain, and we size the boiler to the heat and hot water your home really needs.

Emergency Local Plumbers fits boilers for householders, landlords and businesses throughout PE1 to PE4 and PE7, across the Peterborough City Council area of Cambridgeshire. You can send photos of the current boiler and cupboard by WhatsApp so we can prepare for the survey. Every installation is fully insured, and we guarantee the work we carry out.

What's included

Included in Every Boiler Installation in Peterborough

What the work covers, explained to you before anything starts.

  • Clear advice on combi, system and regular boilers, including converting from one type to another when it suits your household better.
  • New or rerouted pipework and a condensate drain to the position you choose, so the boiler can sit where it is most practical.
  • A flue fitted to leave the building at a point that meets the required clearances from windows, doors and boundaries.

Pricing

What Goes into a Peterborough Boiler Installation Quote

We price each installation from what we find at the survey, and you agree the figure before we begin. It reflects:

  • The type and output of boiler your property needs for its heating and hot water demand.
  • Whether the boiler is moving, and how far new pipework, the flue and the condensate drain have to run.
  • Changes to the system itself, such as removing or adding a hot water cylinder and cold water tanks.
  • The condition of the existing pipework and radiators, and whether the system needs cleaning before the new boiler is connected.
  • The heating controls you choose and any extra radiators an extension or conversion requires.

How it works

From Survey to Commissioning in Peterborough

What happens from your first call to the finished work.

  1. Survey and Recommendation

We look at the property, the existing system and how you use hot water, then recommend a boiler type, output and position and agree the price with you before any work begins.

  2. Preparing the System

We isolate and drain down the heating, remove any equipment the new layout no longer needs, and run the pipework, flue route and condensate drain to the new position.

  3. Fitting and Connecting the Boiler

The boiler is mounted, connected to the heating circuit, hot water and controls, and the system is refilled, vented and pressure tested for leaks.

  4. Commissioning and Handover

We commission the boiler, check the flue, controls and radiators, show you how the controls work, then review the completed work with you and confirm everything has been done as agreed.

FAQs

Common Questions About Boiler Installation in Peterborough

Can I send photos before the survey?

Yes. Photos of the existing boiler, its cupboard and the spot you have in mind for the new one, sent by WhatsApp, help us prepare. We still survey the property in person before quoting, as some details only show on site.

Can I keep my existing radiators?

Often you can, provided they are in good condition and sized for the rooms. If the system is changing type or the boiler output is going up, we check each radiator and only recommend replacing those that would hold the new system back.

Where can the flue go on a new boiler?

The flue must leave the building at a point that meets set distances from windows, doors, boundaries and other openings. On PE1 to PE4 and PE7 installations we choose a route that meets those clearances, which sometimes affects where the boiler itself can sit.

Does fitting a boiler in a new position need to meet Building Regulations?

Yes. Any new boiler or change to the heating system must meet Building Regulations and be notified. We plan the position, flue and controls to meet those rules and explain what applies before work starts.
