How it works

What Happens When You Call Us

From the first call to the finished repair, this is how an emergency call-out runs.

  1. Call or Send the Form

Tell us what has happened and where you are. Photos sent on WhatsApp help us bring the right parts.

  2. We Make It Safe

In an emergency the first job is to stop the water or make the system safe, so the damage stops spreading.

  3. You Agree the Price

We explain the fault and the fix, and you agree the cost before any repair or installation work begins.

  4. The Work and Sign-Off

We carry out the work as agreed, then review the completed work with you and confirm everything has been done as agreed.

FAQs

Questions About Our Emergency Plumbing Service

Which towns do you cover?

We cover Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Wisbech and Doddington in Cambridgeshire; Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Ipswich, Hadleigh, Glemsford, Sudbury, Bungay and Halesworth in Suffolk; and Chelmsford, Harlow, Colchester, Harwich, Clacton-on-Sea, Basildon, Braintree, Epping and Billericay in Essex. If you are nearby but your town is not listed, call and ask.

Are you really available 24 hours a day?

Yes. Call-outs run day and night, every day of the year, including weekends. A leak at 3am or a boiler that stops on a Sunday morning is handled the same way as a weekday job.

What should I do while I wait for the plumber?

If water is escaping, turn it off at the stop tap, usually under the kitchen sink or where the supply enters the property. Switch off the boiler and any immersion heater, and keep electrics away from the water. Catch drips in a bucket and move valuables out of the way. If you smell gas, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.

Do you repair gas, oil and electric boilers?

Yes. Emergency boiler repairs cover gas, oil and electric boilers. We find the cause of the breakdown, explain the repair, and if a boiler is no longer worth repairing we can quote to replace it.

Will I know the cost before the work starts?

Yes. Once we have found the fault we explain what the repair involves and what it will cost, and you agree the price before any repair or installation work begins.

Do you work for businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We carry out plumbing, heating and drainage work for homes and for commercial properties such as shops, offices and rented flats.

Can I send photos of the problem?

Yes. Photos sent on WhatsApp show us the fitting, the boiler or the drain before we arrive, which helps us bring the right parts and get the repair done sooner.
